I told you I loved you
Not knowing what all that meant.
I gradually seeped into your world
Learning of sharing and caring.

Once again
I told you I loved you
Thinking that all was bliss.
As you wrapped your arms around my world
I understood what unconditional was.

Once more
I told you I loved you
Taking all I could.
Suddenly my arms entwined yours
Giving up all I have.
Astounded at the fallout
